Asheville International Children's Film Festival

The premiere of AICFF is on November 2-8, 2009 in Asheville, NC. The mission of the festival is to provide families with value affirming culturally diverse cinema. By using media as a tool to stimulate critical thinking and to promote intelligent dialogue through the introduction of inspiring stories, exhilarating adventures and pure cinematic joy.
The weeklong festival will accommodate school groups at Cinebarre/Biltmore during the week and the general public at Asheville Pizza & Brewing, on the weekend. Teachers can use these films from around the globe as a sprongboard to class work. In addition to screenings, there will be informative discussions with film industry professionals. Hands on Movie Magic workshops will be available on the weekend to delve deeper into the collaborative art of film-making.
